VOLUNTARY ACTION LEEDS

VOLUNTARY ACTION LEEDS: Equality Impact assessment: Voluntary Action Leeds (VAL) wanted to find out how it was performing in respect of its equality and diversity practice. With this in mind, we were commissioned to survey and talk with staff, Board members and organisations from across the city to gain an understanding of how VAL’s practice was perceived and experienced. As part of the assignment, we also developed a framework for ongoing review and continuous improvement.

VOLUNTARY ACTION LEEDS: Review of Leeds BME Hub: In preparation for VAL taking on the management of Leeds BME Hub we were asked to consult with existing Hub members and potential members to find out how they viewed the Hub’s current activity. We subsequently held a consultation event to disseminate the finding of the consultation and to begin a conversation around operating structures and work priorities going forward.

The outcomes of the work provided VAL with a blueprint to determine the course of the group’s activity over the subsequent 12 months.
