We’re just completing an interesting piece of research on behalf of the Royal Armouries in Leeds supporting the organisation in gaining a more in depth understanding of its near neighbours in Hunslet and Riverside and Burmantofts and Richmond Hill – both inner city wards in Leeds which have changed and evolved over the period of the Armouries tenure at Leeds Dock.
Though lockdown meant that we had to adapt our methods, we nevertheless interviewed over 20 professionals, volunteers, residents and activists and held two focus groups which gave us the opportunity to learn more about the interesting and innovative work which is taking place in the two wards. We hope that our report will provide a catalyst for effective community engagement and collaboration.
A huge thank you to everyone who gave so generously of their time and to staff within the Royal Armouries who supported the process.
